How the Techloq Assist Chrome extension handles your data.
A productivity helper for users of the Techloq web filter. Made by SolveIT Solutions. Not affiliated with Techloq Ltd.
Last Updated: April 29, 2026 · Applies to extension version 1.0.0 and later
The Techloq Assist extension collects no data and transmits nothing to SolveIT Solutions. The only network requests it makes are to Techloq's own user-portal API (filter.techloq.com) on your behalf, in the same way the official Techloq block page would. Any settings you save (such as an optional parental-control PIN) are stored locally on your device using Chrome's built-in storage and are never transmitted off your device by us.
Techloq Assist watches Chrome's webRequest API for HTTP redirects to filter.techloq.com — the way Techloq's filter signals that a website or resource has been blocked. When such a redirect is observed, the extension extracts the Techloq-supplied "block info" parameters from the redirect URL and lets you submit an access request to your own Techloq portal in one click, without leaving the page.
Submitting an access request calls the same Techloq API endpoints that the official Techloq block page would call when you submit a request manually. Techloq remains in control of every approval decision.
The extension uses two of Chrome's built-in storage areas, both confined to your local browser profile:
This data never leaves your device under any circumstances. The extension does not include any analytics, telemetry, crash reporting, or remote-logging code.
When you click "Request access" on a blocked item, the extension makes the following HTTP requests, in order, to Techloq's own API:
GET https://filter.techloq.com/api/session/user-info — fetch your account identifiers from TechloqGET https://filter.techloq.com/api/block-page/block-info — fetch the decoded block details from TechloqGET https://filter.techloq.com/api/access-requests/authentication-code/required-validation — ask Techloq whether your account requires a PINPOST https://filter.techloq.com/api/access-requests/authentication-code/validation — only if a PIN is required; sends your saved PIN to Techloq for validationPOST https://filter.techloq.com/api/access-requests/duplicate — ask Techloq whether you have already requested this URLPOST https://filter.techloq.com/api/access-requests — submit the access request to TechloqThese are exactly the calls Techloq's own block page would make when you request access through the standard interface. The extension does not call any other servers — including any owned by SolveIT Solutions.
The extension requests the following Chrome permissions, all required for its core functionality:
Origin header on the extension's outgoing API calls to filter.techloq.com (Techloq's API enforces this, and Chrome forbids extensions from setting Origin via fetch() directly). The rule is narrowly scoped to Techloq's API only.filter.techloq.com.The extension communicates only with filter.techloq.com — Techloq's own user-portal API — and only to submit access requests on your behalf. This traffic is subject to Techloq Ltd.'s own privacy policy, which is published at techloq.com. SolveIT Solutions has no relationship with Techloq Ltd. and receives no data from these requests.
Because no data is sent to or held by SolveIT Solutions, there is no retention period to disclose on our side. To delete all data the extension stores on your device, simply uninstall the extension via Chrome's extension manager (chrome://extensions). All of its chrome.storage.local and chrome.storage.session data is removed at that point.
The extension is intended for use on devices already filtered by Techloq, including devices used by minors under parental supervision. The extension itself does not collect any data from any user, regardless of age.
If we change this policy in any material way, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, if the change is significant, push an updated extension version with a release-notes entry pointing here. Continued use of the extension after such an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
